Our Products & Product Condition
WA White Goods specialises exclusively in reconditioned and second-hand household appliances. We do not sell brand-new appliances. Every product we sell has been previously used, inspected, thoroughly cleaned, and tested to ensure safe and functional operation before listing for sale. Full details of our reconditioning process are available on our Sustainability & Reconditioning Process page.
Product Condition Categories
All products listed on our website are assigned a condition rating to give you a clear and honest understanding of the item's state before you purchase. Our condition categories are described in full on our Product Condition Policy page.
| Condition | Description |
|---|---|
| Excellent | Fully functional and cosmetically very clean with only minor or negligible signs of prior use. Ideal for customers seeking near-new quality at a fraction of the cost. |
| Good | Fully functional with minor cosmetic marks, scratches, or scuffs consistent with regular household use. All functional parts operate correctly. |
| Fair | Fully functional with visible cosmetic wear such as dents, scratches, or fading. These are priced accordingly and represent great value for budget-conscious buyers. |
Product Descriptions and Accuracy
- Product photographs are taken of the actual item for sale wherever possible.
- Cosmetic imperfections described in the product listing are indicative of the item's overall condition at the time of inspection.
- Technical specifications such as capacity, energy star rating, dimensions, and model number are sourced from the manufacturer's specifications and may have minor variances.
- If you require specific measurements or additional photographs before purchasing, please contact us prior to placing your order.
Our Commitment to Transparency: We are committed to providing honest, accurate, and detailed product descriptions. If you receive a product that materially differs from its description, you are entitled to a remedy under our Refund Policy and the Australian Consumer Law. Please refer to Section 8 and Section 10 of these Terms for full details.
Stock Availability
Because we sell second-hand appliances, each item is typically available in a quantity of one. Stock levels are updated regularly; however, in the rare event that an item sells through another channel before your online order is processed, we will notify you immediately and offer a full refund or an alternative product of comparable value. We do not charge payment for items that are not available.
Pricing, GST & Displayed Prices
All prices displayed on the WA White Goods website are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include the Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the current Australian rate of 10%, unless explicitly stated otherwise. Budget Whitegoods Pty Ltd is a GST-registered business (GST Registration: 86 642 874 995).
How Our Pricing Works
- The price displayed on the product page is the total product price inclusive of GST.
- Delivery and shipping fees, where applicable, are calculated separately at checkout based on your delivery location and selected delivery option.
- Any applicable pickup savings or promotional discounts will be applied and displayed at checkout prior to payment confirmation.
- A GST-inclusive tax invoice will be issued with every completed order and sent to your registered email address.
GST Tax Invoices: As a GST-registered business, we issue valid tax invoices for all sales. Each invoice will clearly display our ABN (642 874 995), the GST amount paid, and all other required information under Australian taxation law. Invoices are issued via email following order confirmation.
Pricing Accuracy and Errors
- We may cancel and refund orders placed at an incorrect price before the item has been dispatched.
- We will contact you to offer the item at the correct price, giving you the option to proceed or cancel at no cost to you.
- We may decline to honour any order placed at a clearly erroneous price that is significantly below the item's actual market value.
We will always notify you of a pricing error before any action is taken and will never charge your account for more than the agreed price displayed at checkout.
Price Changes
Prices may change from time to time without prior notice. The price you pay is the price confirmed at the time you complete your order and payment. Once an order is confirmed, the price will not change except in the case of a genuine pricing error as described above.
Placing an Order
Placing an order through wawhitegoods.com.au is a straightforward process. Below we outline exactly what happens from the moment you add an item to your cart to the point your order is confirmed and processed.
Order Process
- Browse our product catalogue and select the appliance you wish to purchase. Review the product condition, description, and images carefully before proceeding.
- Add the item to your shopping cart and proceed to checkout. Enter your delivery details and review the total cost — including any delivery charges — before proceeding.
- Select your preferred payment method and complete the payment process. Your payment is processed securely at this stage.
- You will receive an automated Order Confirmation email at the address provided during checkout. This email confirms receipt of your order but does not constitute final acceptance by WA White Goods.
- Our team will verify stock availability and process your order. Once confirmed and ready, you will receive a second Order Processing and Dispatch Confirmation email.
- Your item will be dispatched for delivery or made available for collection, as per your selected option.
When Does a Contract Form? A binding contract of sale is formed at the point we confirm your order and dispatch the item, or notify you of readiness for collection. The initial automated order confirmation email is an acknowledgement only and does not guarantee availability or formal acceptance of your order.
Order Cancellation by the Customer
If you wish to cancel your order after placing it, please contact us as soon as possible via phone at +61 424 260 450, by email at [email protected], or through our live chat during business hours (Monday to Sunday, 09:00 AM – 06:00 PM AWST). If the order has not yet been dispatched, we will cancel it and issue a full refund. If the item has already been dispatched, our standard Refund and Return Policy will apply.
Order Cancellation by WA White Goods
- The item is no longer available or has been sold through another channel prior to order processing.
- A genuine pricing or product description error has been identified.
- Payment has not been successfully received or has been flagged as potentially fraudulent.
- The delivery address provided is outside our serviceable delivery zone and no alternative arrangement is possible.
- We are unable to verify the order or the customer's contact details.
In all cases where we cancel an order, a full refund of any payment received will be issued promptly and you will be notified by email and/or phone.
Payment
WA White Goods accepts a range of payment methods to make purchasing as convenient as possible. All payments are required in Australian Dollars (AUD) and must be completed in full before an order is dispatched or made available for collection.
Accepted Payment Methods
Payment Security: All online payment transactions are processed through secure, encrypted payment gateways. We do not store your full credit card details on our servers. Our website uses SSL encryption to protect all data transmitted during checkout. Please refer to our Payment Policy for complete details on accepted methods, security measures, and transaction processes.
Payment at Checkout
Payment is collected at the time of order placement for all online transactions. For direct bank transfer payments, your order will be reserved for 48 hours from the time of placement. If cleared funds are not received within this window, your order may be released. We will contact you before cancelling any bank transfer order.
Afterpay
We accept Afterpay, allowing eligible customers to pay for their purchase in four equal fortnightly instalments at no extra cost. Afterpay is subject to approval and Afterpay's own terms and conditions. You must be 18 years or older to use Afterpay. For full details, please visit www.afterpay.com.
Failed or Declined Payments
If your payment is declined or fails to process, your order will not be confirmed. We will not charge your card for an order that could not be completed. If you believe there has been an error with your payment, please contact your bank or payment provider, or reach out to us at [email protected] for assistance.
Fraud Prevention
To protect our customers and our business against fraudulent transactions, we may occasionally request additional verification information before processing an order. If we are unable to verify a transaction, we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund. We will never ask you to share full payment card numbers, passwords, or PINs via email or phone.

Delivery Responsibilities
- It is your responsibility to provide an accurate and complete delivery address at the time of ordering. We are not responsible for failed deliveries or additional costs resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address.
- You or an authorised adult representative must be present to accept delivery. If a delivery cannot be completed, our delivery team will contact you to arrange a suitable alternative time.
- Delivery of large appliances to upper floor levels, narrow access areas, or locations requiring special equipment may incur additional charges. Please advise us of any access limitations prior to scheduling delivery.
- Risk of loss or damage to goods passes to you upon delivery and acceptance of the item at your premises.
Delivery Timeframes
Estimated delivery timeframes are provided in good faith and are based on our standard scheduling. However, delivery dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays caused by factors outside our reasonable control, including traffic, vehicle breakdowns, or adverse weather conditions. If your delivery is significantly delayed, we will contact you promptly to advise you and arrange a new delivery date.
Damaged Goods in Transit
In the unlikely event that your appliance is damaged in transit, please follow these steps:
- Note any visible damage to the outer packaging or item at the time of delivery in the presence of the delivery person.
- Do not sign the delivery receipt as received in good condition if the item appears damaged. Note the damage on the delivery docket.
- Contact us within 24 hours of delivery by emailing [email protected] or calling +61 424 260 450, including photographs of the damage where possible.
- We will arrange a suitable remedy in accordance with our Refund Policy and the Australian Consumer Law.
Please Note: Failure to report transit damage within 24 hours of delivery may make it more difficult to establish that the damage occurred during transit. We strongly encourage prompt reporting to ensure the best possible outcome for you.
Refunds & Returns
Your satisfaction is important to us. WA White Goods has a fair and transparent refund and returns process that complies fully with the Australian Consumer Law. Comprehensive details are available on our dedicated Refund Policy page. The following is a summary of the key points.
When You Are Entitled to a Refund or Return
- The product has a major fault or fails to function as described and cannot be repaired or replaced within a reasonable time.
- The product does not match the description provided on our website in a material or significant way.
- The product is unsafe or poses a risk to health and safety.
- The product was damaged in transit and the damage was reported within 24 hours of delivery.
Change of Mind Returns
As our products are second-hand appliances priced at budget-friendly rates, we do not accept returns for change of mind. We encourage all customers to review product descriptions, condition ratings, photographs, and dimensions carefully before purchasing. If you have any questions about an item prior to purchase, please contact us and we will be happy to provide additional information.
Your ACL Rights Are Not Limited: Our change of mind policy does not affect or limit your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If a product is faulty, unsafe, or does not match its description, you are entitled to a remedy regardless of our change of mind position. Please see Section 10 for a full explanation of your ACL rights.
How to Request a Refund or Return
- Contact us within the timeframe specified in our Refund Policy by emailing [email protected] or calling +61 424 260 450.
- Describe the issue clearly and, where possible, provide photographs or a short video demonstrating the problem.
- Our team will assess your request within 2 business days and advise you of the outcome and next steps.
- If your return is approved, we will arrange collection of the item or provide instructions for returning it.
- Once the item is inspected and the issue confirmed, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within a reasonable timeframe as required by law.
Warranty
All products sold by WA White Goods are covered by a warranty as detailed on our Warranty Policy page. The warranty we offer is in addition to, and does not limit, your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
What Our Warranty Covers
Our warranty covers defects in the mechanical and electrical functioning of the appliance that arise under normal domestic use conditions and were not apparent at the time of purchase. Where a fault develops within the warranty period, we will at our option repair the appliance, replace it with an equivalent item, or issue a refund.
What Our Warranty Does Not Cover
- Damage caused by misuse, accident, neglect, incorrect installation, or use contrary to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Normal wear and tear, including cosmetic deterioration over the course of use.
- Damage caused by power surges, flooding, or other external events beyond our control.
- Faults resulting from unauthorised repairs or modifications carried out by any party other than WA White Goods or an authorised repairer.
- Consumable parts such as filters, seals, or belts that are subject to regular replacement under normal use.
Warranty Period: The warranty period for each product is specified on the individual product listing page. Please refer to the product description and our Warranty Policy for the specific warranty duration applicable to your purchase. Warranty claims must be submitted during the warranty period.
Making a Warranty Claim
To make a warranty claim, please contact us at [email protected] or call us on +61 424 260 450 during business hours. Please have your order number, a description of the fault, and any supporting photographs or videos ready. Our team will assess your claim and advise on the appropriate remedy promptly.
Your Consumer Rights Under the Australian Consumer Law
The Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) provides you with certain automatic consumer guarantees when you purchase goods from WA White Goods. These rights apply regardless of any additional warranty we offer and cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by us.
Consumer Guarantees That Apply to Our Products
- The product is of acceptable quality — meaning it is safe, durable, free from defects, and fit for all purposes that such appliances are commonly used for, taking into account that the item is a reconditioned or second-hand appliance at its disclosed condition.
- The product is fit for any specific purpose you disclosed to us before purchasing, where we confirmed the product would meet that purpose.
- The product matches the description provided in the product listing on our website.
- The product matches any sample or demonstration model, if one was provided.
Remedies Available to You
| Type of Failure | Your Entitlement |
|---|---|
| Major Failure — e.g. product cannot be repaired, is unsafe, or is significantly different from its description. | You may choose a full refund, replacement with an identical or equivalent item, or compensation for any reduction in value. |
| Minor Failure — e.g. minor fault that can be repaired reasonably quickly. | We may choose to repair, replace, or refund. We will complete the remedy within a reasonable time. |
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Second-Hand Goods and the ACL
The ACL applies to second-hand and reconditioned goods. The standard of "acceptable quality" for a second-hand product takes into account the product's disclosed condition, age, and price. We always disclose the condition of our products honestly and in detail to ensure this assessment is fair and transparent.
