Our Business Model — Context for This Disclaimer

WA White Goods specialises exclusively in the sale of reconditioned and second-hand household appliances, including washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, and other domestic appliances. Every product we sell has been previously used, professionally inspected, thoroughly tested, and cleaned before being listed for sale. We do not sell brand-new appliances.

Because our products are second-hand and reconditioned, certain characteristics — such as cosmetic wear, minor marks, and signs of prior use — are inherent to the nature of these goods. This Disclaimer is specifically tailored to our business model to ensure full transparency about what customers should reasonably expect when purchasing reconditioned appliances.

Reconditioned & Second-Hand Goods Disclaimer

WA White Goods sells exclusively reconditioned and second-hand household appliances. Every product we sell has been previously used by one or more prior owners. Understanding the inherent nature of second-hand and reconditioned goods is essential to making an informed purchasing decision.

What "Reconditioned" Means at WA White Goods

At WA White Goods, every appliance listed for sale has undergone our reconditioning process, which includes:

  • Full functional testing: Each appliance is tested to verify that all core functions operate correctly — including all wash cycles (washing machines), cooling functions (refrigerators/freezers), heating elements (dryers), wash programmes (dishwashers), and all applicable settings and controls.
  • Professional cleaning: Every appliance is thoroughly cleaned inside and out to a standard suitable for domestic use before listing for sale.
  • Basic repairs and part replacements: Where minor components are found to be faulty or worn during testing, they are repaired or replaced using suitable replacement parts. Examples include door seals, filters, belts, and pump components.
  • Condition assessment and rating: Every appliance is assessed by our team and assigned a condition rating (Excellent, Good, or Fair) that reflects its cosmetic and functional state at the time of inspection. See Section 05 for full details of our condition rating system.
  • Safety check: All appliances are assessed for basic electrical and operational safety before being listed for sale. Appliances that do not pass our safety assessment are not listed and are responsibly recycled or disposed of.

Inherent Characteristics of Second-Hand Goods — Important Notices

  • Prior use: All products sold by WA White Goods have been previously used. Signs of prior use — including wear consistent with normal domestic operation — are an inherent and expected characteristic of second-hand goods and are not considered defects under the Australian Consumer Law when honestly disclosed.
  • Cosmetic imperfections: Depending on the assigned condition rating, products may display cosmetic marks, scratches, scuffs, fading, minor dents, or other signs of prior use. These are specifically disclosed in each product's condition rating and description and are not grounds for return unless they constitute a material deviation from the product listing.
  • Unknown prior history: While we inspect and test every appliance before listing, we do not have full knowledge of an appliance's complete prior usage history, the conditions under which it was operated by previous owners, the frequency of prior use, or any prior repairs carried out by third parties before the appliance came to us.
  • Remaining lifespan: The remaining useful lifespan of a second-hand appliance cannot be precisely predicted. While our appliances are fully functional at the time of sale, the age of the appliance and its prior usage history are factors that may affect its long-term durability. This is reflected in the pricing of our products.
  • No original packaging: Second-hand appliances are not sold with original packaging, user manuals, or original accessories unless specifically stated in the product listing. Digital copies of user manuals may be available from the manufacturer's website for many models.
  • No brand-new guarantee: We do not represent or imply that any of our products are brand new. All products are sold as reconditioned or second-hand items priced to reflect their used condition.

Our Reconditioning Process: Full details of our reconditioning and quality assessment process — including the specific steps we take before listing any appliance for sale — are available on our Sustainability & Reconditioning Process page. We encourage all customers to read this page to understand exactly what our reconditioning commitment means in practice.

ACL and Second-Hand Goods

The Australian Consumer Law applies to second-hand and reconditioned goods. The standard of "acceptable quality" for a second-hand product takes into account the product's disclosed condition, age, prior use, and price paid. WA White Goods always discloses the condition of our products honestly, accurately, and in detail to ensure that the ACL assessment of acceptable quality is applied fairly and transparently to every item we sell. Our condition ratings and product descriptions are specifically designed to meet and exceed this disclosure obligation.

Section 04

Product Description & Accuracy Disclaimer

WA White Goods makes every reasonable effort to provide accurate, complete, and honest product descriptions for every item listed on our website. However, because we sell individual second-hand appliances — many of which are unique, single-unit items — certain limitations in description accuracy may arise from the nature of the products themselves.

Product Description Sources

  • Technical specifications (such as capacity, dimensions, energy star rating, model number, and wash programmes) are sourced from the original manufacturer's published specifications for the relevant model. These specifications may not precisely reflect minor manufacturing variations between production batches of the same model.
  • Cosmetic condition descriptions are based on our team's visual inspection of the specific item at the time of listing. The condition described reflects the appliance's state at inspection — minor changes may occur between the time of listing and the time of sale due to the natural process of storage and handling.
  • Functional descriptions are based on our team's operational testing of the appliance at the time of reconditioning and listing. All described functions were verified as operational at the time of testing.

Known Limitations of Product Descriptions

  • Colour representation: The colours of appliances shown in product photographs may vary slightly from their actual appearance due to differences in screen display settings, monitor calibration, ambient lighting conditions at the time of photography, and photographic processing. Colour descriptions in text are based on our team's assessment of the item's colour under standard warehouse lighting.
  • Dimensional tolerances: Product dimensions stated on our website are sourced from manufacturer specifications and may have minor tolerances of ±1–2cm. If precise measurements are critical for your installation space, please contact us to request a manual measurement of the specific item before purchasing.
  • Model year and manufacture date: Unless specifically stated in the product listing, the exact year of manufacture of second-hand appliances may not be known with certainty. Estimated age ranges, where provided, are based on our team's assessment of the appliance's design, serial number range, and general condition.
  • Accessory inclusions: Product listings will specify whether any accessories (such as removable trays, vegetable crispers, ice cube trays, or lint filters) are included. Any accessories not specifically mentioned in the listing are not guaranteed to be included.

Material Discrepancies: If you receive a product that materially and significantly differs from its description on our website — in a way that affected your purchasing decision — you are entitled to a remedy under our Refund Policy and the Australian Consumer Law. Please contact us within a reasonable time of delivery to report the discrepancy. See Section 12 of this Disclaimer for your full ACL rights.

Verification Before Purchase

If you have any doubt about any aspect of a product description — including dimensions, included accessories, specific features, or cosmetic condition — we strongly encourage you to contact us before completing your purchase. We can provide additional photographs, physical measurements, or further details about any specific item upon request, at no charge. Contact us at [email protected] or call +61 424 260 450.

Section 05

Product Condition Ratings Disclaimer

WA White Goods assigns every product a condition rating — either Excellent, Good, or Fair — based on our team's professional assessment of the appliance's cosmetic and functional state at the time of inspection. These ratings are designed to give you a clear, honest, and standardised framework for understanding what to expect from each product.

Our Condition Rating System

★★★
Excellent
Fully functional with only negligible or very minor signs of prior use. Near-new appearance. Minor cosmetic imperfections may be present but are difficult to notice under normal viewing conditions.
★★
Good
Fully functional with minor visible cosmetic marks, light scratches, or scuffs consistent with regular household use. All functions operate correctly. Great everyday value.
★
Fair
Fully functional with visible cosmetic wear including dents, scratches, fading, or marks. Priced to reflect cosmetic condition. Ideal for budget-focused buyers seeking functionality over appearance.

Important Notices Regarding Condition Ratings

  • Condition ratings are subjective assessments made by our team members based on their professional experience and our internal condition assessment guidelines. Different assessors may perceive the same item slightly differently. Ratings represent our honest best assessment, not a precise objective measurement.
  • Condition ratings describe the cosmetic state of the appliance at the time of inspection. All three condition ratings — Excellent, Good, and Fair — indicate a fully functional appliance. The rating relates to cosmetic appearance, not operational performance.
  • Individual listings provide additional detail: The condition rating is a general summary. Each individual product listing includes a more detailed description of specific cosmetic imperfections noted during inspection. Please read the full listing description in addition to the condition rating before purchasing.
  • Condition at delivery: We take care during storage and handling to maintain the condition of appliances as described at the time of listing. However, minor variations between the listed condition and the delivered condition — where they are not materially different from the description — may occur and do not constitute a product defect.
  • Full condition policy: Our complete product condition rating system is described in detail on our Product Condition Policy page. We strongly recommend reading this page before your first purchase from us.

Not Sure About the Condition? If a product's listed condition rating leaves you with questions about what the item will look like or how it will perform, please contact us before purchasing. We can provide additional close-up photographs of specific areas of concern, describe imperfections in greater detail, or arrange a viewing of the item at our Welshpool warehouse by appointment. We want you to be completely confident in your purchase decision.

06
Section 06

Technical Specifications Disclaimer

Technical specifications published in WA White Goods product listings — including but not limited to capacity (litres or kilograms), dimensions (height, width, depth), energy star ratings, water consumption ratings, spin speeds, temperature ranges, noise levels, and programme options — are sourced from the original manufacturer's published product data for the specific model number.

Important Notices About Technical Specifications

  • Manufacturer specifications: All technical data is sourced in good faith from manufacturer documentation, product datasheets, or reputable product databases. We do not independently verify all technical specifications through laboratory testing. Minor variations from published specifications may exist due to manufacturing tolerances, firmware updates, or regional product variants.
  • Model variants: Some appliance models are produced in multiple variants for different markets (e.g. Australian vs. European market versions) or are updated mid-production run without a change in the model number. Published specifications represent the standard variant of the listed model and may not precisely match every production variant.
  • Performance of second-hand appliances: The technical performance of a second-hand or reconditioned appliance may vary from the manufacturer's published specifications due to the age of the appliance, normal wear of mechanical components, prior usage patterns, and the accumulated wear of moving parts. For example, a washing machine that is several years old may not achieve quite the same spin speed efficiency as when new.
  • Energy ratings on older models: Energy efficiency star ratings displayed on our website for older model appliances reflect the rating assigned by the manufacturer at the time of the model's market release. Older appliances were rated under previous versions of the Australian Energy Rating standards. The current Australian Energy Rating framework may use a different star scale than the scale under which older products were originally rated.
  • Water consumption data: Water consumption ratings for washing machines and dishwashers represent manufacturer-published data for the standard cycle under test conditions and may not reflect real-world water usage under your specific usage patterns or local water pressure conditions.

Critical Dimensions: If you need an appliance to fit a specific space — for example, within a kitchen cavity, laundry alcove, or under a bench — we strongly recommend contacting us to request a manual physical measurement of the specific item before purchasing, rather than relying solely on published manufacturer dimensions. Published dimensions may vary by ±1–2cm from the actual item's measurements. We can measure any listed item upon request at no cost to you.

Installation & Safety Disclaimer

WA White Goods provides general installation guidance and appliance care information on our website as a courtesy to our customers. This information is provided in good faith for general reference purposes only and does not constitute professional electrical, plumbing, or technical installation advice.

Critical Installation Notices

  • Licensed electricians required: The installation of household appliances — particularly those requiring new or modified electrical connections, such as hardwired ovens, rangehoods, or appliances requiring dedicated circuits — must be carried out by a licensed electrician in accordance with Australian Standard AS/NZS 3000 (Wiring Rules) and the applicable Western Australian electrical safety regulations. WA White Goods does not provide electrical installation services.
  • Licensed plumbers required: Appliances requiring plumbing connections — such as washing machines, dishwashers, and refrigerators with water dispensers — should be connected by a licensed plumber where a new or modified plumbing connection is required, in accordance with Western Australian plumbing licensing requirements.
  • Appliance compatibility: It is your responsibility to ensure that any appliance you purchase from WA White Goods is compatible with the electrical supply, water supply, drainage, and physical installation space available at your premises before completing your purchase. We recommend checking compatibility details with our team or a licensed tradesperson before buying.
  • Gas appliances: WA White Goods does not sell gas appliances. All appliances sold by us are electrically powered. This disclaimer notice is included for absolute clarity.
  • Child and personal safety: When receiving, moving, and installing large appliances, appropriate care should be taken to prevent personal injury. Large appliances are heavy and may require two or more people to safely manoeuvre. Always follow safe lifting and handling practices.
  • Do not use damaged appliances: If you receive an appliance and notice any damage to the power cord, plug, body, or any electrical component that concerns you from a safety perspective, do not connect or use the appliance. Contact us immediately at +61 424 260 450 or [email protected] before operating the appliance.

Electrical Safety Warning: Incorrect electrical installation of household appliances can result in electric shock, fire, property damage, serious injury, or death. Always engage a licensed electrician for any electrical work relating to appliance installation in Western Australia. Never attempt to modify, repair, or connect the electrical components of an appliance yourself unless you are a licensed electrician. If you suspect an appliance has an electrical fault, do not use it — switch it off at the power point and contact us immediately.

Product Recall Notices

WA White Goods makes reasonable efforts to check product recall databases before listing appliances for sale. However, we cannot guarantee that we will identify every product recall applicable to every model we sell — particularly where a recall is issued after the item has been listed. Customers are encouraged to check the Product Safety Australia recall database at www.productsafety.gov.au for any recall notices relating to your appliance's brand and model number before or after your purchase. If you believe a product you have purchased from us is subject to a safety recall, please contact us immediately.

08
Section 08

Energy Ratings & Efficiency Disclaimer

Many appliances listed on the WA White Goods website display an Australian Energy Rating (energy efficiency star rating) as part of the product's published technical specifications. These ratings are provided for general informational purposes to assist customers in understanding the relative energy efficiency of a model. Important limitations apply to the use of energy rating information for second-hand appliances.

Energy Rating Disclaimers

  • Ratings reflect new appliance performance: Energy star ratings are assigned by the manufacturer and the Australian Government's Energy Rating program based on the performance of a new appliance under controlled laboratory test conditions. The energy consumption of a used or reconditioned appliance may differ from the original rating due to component wear, age, and prior usage patterns.
  • Rating scale changes over time: The Australian Energy Rating star scale has been updated and extended over the years. Appliances rated under older versions of the scale cannot be directly compared with appliances rated under the current scale. An older appliance displaying 4 stars under a previous scale may be less efficient than a current appliance displaying 4 stars on the updated scale.
  • Actual energy consumption varies: Real-world energy consumption depends on factors including how often the appliance is used, the cycles and settings selected, ambient temperature, local electricity tariff rates, and the condition and age of the appliance. Published energy ratings and annual running cost estimates are indicative only and will not precisely match your actual energy bills.
  • Annual running cost estimates: Any annual running cost estimates provided on our website or in product listings are based on manufacturer-published data and standard Australian electricity tariff assumptions at the time of original product launch. Actual running costs will vary based on current electricity prices in Western Australia, which change regularly.

Current Energy Tariffs: For accurate information on current electricity tariffs in Western Australia, visit www.synergy.net.au. For general information on Australian Energy Ratings and how to interpret star ratings, visit the government's official Energy Rating website at www.energyrating.gov.au.

Pricing & Availability Disclaimer

All prices displayed on the WA White Goods website are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the current rate of 10%, unless explicitly stated otherwise. The following important notices apply to pricing and product availability on our website.

Pricing Notices

  • Prices may change without notice: Product prices on our website may be updated, reduced, or increased at any time. The price applicable to your order is the price displayed and confirmed at the time you complete your checkout and payment. Price changes made after your order is confirmed do not apply to your existing order.
  • Pricing errors: Despite our best efforts, pricing errors may occasionally occur due to system issues, data entry errors, or technical malfunctions. In the event of a clear and demonstrable pricing error — for example, a product listed at a price that is evidently a small fraction of its market value due to a technical fault — WA White Goods reserves the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund, after notifying the customer and giving them the opportunity to purchase at the correct price. We will never honour a manifestly erroneous price without first contacting the customer.
  • Promotional pricing: Promotional discounts, sale prices, and special offers are valid only for the duration of the promotion as specified. We are not required to honour promotional prices that have expired or that were applied in error to products not included in the promotion.
  • Delivery fees: Product prices do not include delivery fees unless explicitly stated. Delivery fees are calculated separately at checkout and are clearly displayed before payment is finalised. We do not apply hidden delivery charges after checkout.

Stock Availability Notices

  • Single-unit items: Because we sell second-hand appliances, each item is typically a unique, single-unit product. Stock availability shown on our website is updated regularly but may not reflect real-time availability, particularly if an item sells through an in-store or phone channel simultaneously with an online listing.
  • Out-of-stock after ordering: In the rare event that an item sells through another channel before your online order is processed, we will contact you immediately, explain the situation, and offer either a full refund or an alternative product of comparable specification and value. We will never dispatch a substitute product without your agreement.
  • Product listing removal: Products may be removed from our website at any time due to a sale, withdrawal from sale, or identification of a quality or safety issue. We are not responsible for any inconvenience caused by the unavailability of a listed product.

GST Tax Invoices: A valid GST tax invoice inclusive of our ABN (642 874 995) and the GST amount paid will be issued for every completed purchase, in compliance with Australian taxation requirements. If you require a tax invoice for business accounting purposes, please ensure your email address is entered correctly at checkout, or contact us to request a reissue at any time.

10
Section 10

Photographs & Visual Content Disclaimer

WA White Goods makes every effort to photograph the actual item for sale wherever possible, rather than using generic stock photographs or manufacturer-supplied marketing images. Product photographs are taken in our Welshpool warehouse under standard warehouse lighting conditions and are intended to give you the most accurate and honest visual representation of the item's condition.

Important Notices About Product Photographs

  • Colour accuracy: Photograph colours may appear slightly different from the actual product's colour depending on your monitor or screen's display settings, screen brightness, colour calibration, and ambient lighting at your location. We cannot control how colours are rendered on your specific device.
  • Lighting and shadow: Warehouse lighting used during photography may affect the visibility of certain cosmetic features, including very minor scratches, surface texture variations, or light scuffs that may be more or less visible under different lighting conditions. Where significant cosmetic imperfections exist, we make every effort to capture them clearly in our photographs.
  • Multiple photograph angles: We aim to provide multiple photographs of each item from different angles, including close-up images of notable cosmetic imperfections. If the photographs provided do not adequately show an area of the product you are interested in, please request additional photographs before purchasing.
  • Stock or representative images: In some cases — particularly for recently received stock that is yet to be individually photographed — a representative stock image of the same or a very similar model may be used as a placeholder. In these cases, the listing will clearly indicate that the image is representative only. We will always provide actual product photographs upon request before any order is placed.
  • Post-listing changes: Photographs are taken at the time of listing. We take care to maintain the condition of all listed items in storage, but very minor variations between the photographed condition and the delivered condition — where they are not material — may occasionally occur.

Request Additional Photos: We actively encourage customers to request additional photographs of any product before purchasing. Contact us at [email protected] with your request and we will provide additional images within 1 business day at no charge. Your confidence in the condition of the product you are buying matters to us.

11
Section 11

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), the Australian Consumer Law, and all other applicable legislation, WA White Goods and Budget Whitegoods Pty Ltd limit our liability as follows. Nothing in this section limits or excludes any right or remedy to which you are entitled under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Exclusion of Liability — Website Content

To the extent permitted by law, WA White Goods excludes all liability for any loss, damage, cost, or expense — direct or indirect — arising from:

  • Any reliance on information published on our website that is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, where that inaccuracy was not the result of our fraudulent or intentionally misleading conduct.
  • Any interruption to, suspension of, or unavailability of our website or any page or feature of it.
  • Any virus, malware, or harmful code encountered while accessing our website, where we have taken reasonable steps to maintain website security.
  • Any error or omission in any product description, specification, price, or availability information, where that error or omission was made in good faith and without fraudulent intent.
  • Your use of or reliance on any third-party website linked to from our website.

Limitation on Consequential Loss — Products

To the extent permitted by the Australian Consumer Law, where our liability cannot be fully excluded, our liability for any failure of a product to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited — at our option — to one or more of:

  • Replacing the product or supplying an equivalent product.
  • Repairing the product.
  • Refunding the amount paid for the product.
  • Paying the cost of having the product repaired or an equivalent product supplied.

Consequential Losses Not Covered

To the extent permitted by law, WA White Goods is not liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or punitive losses arising from the use of or inability to use our products or our website, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of income or revenue resulting from an appliance fault or failure.
  • Costs of alternative appliance hire or rental while a faulty appliance is being remedied.
  • Damage to other property caused by an appliance fault, where that fault was not foreseeable at the time of sale.
  • Costs associated with incorrect or non-compliant installation of an appliance by the customer or a third party.

ACL Overrides Any Limitation: The Australian Consumer Law provides you with consumer guarantees and entitlements that cannot be excluded by any disclaimer or limitation of liability clause. Where the ACL entitles you to a remedy — including for major product failures — those entitlements are not affected by anything stated in this limitation of liability section. Your statutory rights are always available to you in full.

12
Section 12

Australian Consumer Law — Your Rights Are Always Protected

The Australian Consumer Law (ACL) (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) provides you with a set of automatic consumer guarantees when you purchase goods from WA White Goods. Section 13

Warranty Disclaimer

All products sold by WA White Goods are covered by a warranty as specified on our Warranty Policy page and in the individual product listing. The warranty we offer is our voluntary express warranty and is provided in addition to — and does not limit — the consumer guarantees to which you are entitled under the Australian Consumer Law.

Warranty Limitation Notices

  • No manufacturer warranty: Second-hand and reconditioned appliances sold by WA White Goods are generally not covered by the original manufacturer's warranty. The warranty provided by WA White Goods is our own voluntary warranty and is administered entirely by us. We are not affiliated with any appliance manufacturer.
  • Warranty period: The warranty period applicable to each product is specified in the individual product listing and on our Warranty Policy page. Warranty periods for reconditioned appliances reflect the nature of second-hand goods and are priced accordingly.
  • Warranty conditions: Our warranty applies to faults arising from normal domestic use under the conditions for which the appliance is designed. It does not cover damage arising from misuse, improper installation, unauthorised modification or repair, power surges, flood, fire, or other external events.
  • Consumable parts: Our warranty does not cover consumable or wear-and-tear components that are expected to require periodic replacement under normal use — such as door seals, belts, filters, light bulbs, and similar parts. The ACL's consumer guarantee for "acceptable quality" also takes into account the normal wear and replacement of consumable components.
  • Warranty and ACL coexistence: Our warranty exists alongside your ACL rights and does not reduce or replace them. Even after our voluntary warranty period expires, your ACL rights remain available for product failures that fall within the scope of the ACL consumer guarantees, taking into account the product's age, condition, and price at the time of purchase.

Making a Warranty or ACL Claim: To make a warranty claim or to assert your ACL rights in relation to a product purchased from us, please contact us at [email protected] or call +61 424 260 450. Please have your order number, a description of the fault, and photographs or video evidence of the issue (where possible) ready when you contact us. Our team will assess your claim promptly and advise on the appropriate remedy.

Delivery & Logistics Disclaimer

WA White Goods offers delivery of purchased appliances across the Perth metropolitan area and selected regional areas of Western Australia. Full details of our delivery zones, fees, and timeframes are published in our Shipping Policy. The following notices apply to delivery and logistics.

Delivery Disclaimer Notices

  • Estimated delivery timeframes: All delivery timeframes provided — whether during the checkout process, in our Shipping Policy, or communicated by our team — are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delivery may be affected by factors outside our control, including traffic, vehicle breakdowns, adverse weather conditions, access difficulties at the delivery address, and staff availability.
  • Delivery zone limitations: WA White Goods delivers primarily within the Perth metropolitan area. Delivery availability to regional Western Australian addresses and interstate locations is limited and subject to specific arrangements. We do not guarantee delivery to all Western Australian addresses. Please confirm delivery availability for your specific address before placing an order.
  • Access requirements: Delivery of large appliances to upper floors, narrow doorways, staircases, or locations with restricted access may not be possible with our standard delivery service and may incur additional charges. It is your responsibility to advise us of any access limitations at your delivery address prior to scheduling delivery.
  • Risk of loss in transit: Risk of loss or damage to goods passes to WA White Goods until the item is delivered to and accepted at your premises. Upon acceptance of delivery, risk passes to you. If you believe an item has been damaged in transit, you must notify us within 24 hours of delivery with photographic evidence.
  • Placement of appliances: Our delivery team will endeavour to place the appliance in the location requested by the customer at the delivery address. However, our team may decline to place an appliance in a location that poses a safety risk to them or to the property. Placement of appliances in elevated locations, inside cabinetry, or behind other furniture may be outside the scope of our standard delivery service.
  • Old appliance removal: Unless specifically agreed in writing and reflected in your order, our delivery service does not include removal or disposal of your old appliance. Please make separate arrangements for the disposal of your existing appliance prior to delivery. For responsible e-waste disposal options in Western Australia, visit www.warecycling.com.au.

Delivery Address Accuracy: It is your sole responsibility to provide an accurate and complete delivery address at the time of ordering. WA White Goods is not responsible for failed or delayed deliveries resulting from an incorrect, incomplete, or inaccessible delivery address provided by the customer. Additional charges may apply for re-delivery attempts necessitated by an incorrect address or absence of a responsible adult at the delivery address.

Website Availability & Technical Disclaimer

WA White Goods endeavours to maintain its website at wawhitegoods.com.au as a continuously available, accurate, and functional online shopping platform. However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or fully secure access to our website at all times.

Website Technical Disclaimer Notices

  • Planned and unplanned downtime: Our website may be temporarily unavailable from time to time due to planned maintenance, server updates, hosting provider issues, or other technical factors outside our direct control. We will endeavour to conduct planned maintenance during low-traffic hours and to provide advance notice where possible.
  • Browser and device compatibility: We design our website to work correctly across all major modern web browsers and devices. However, we cannot guarantee perfect functionality across every browser version, operating system, screen size, or device configuration. If you experience technical difficulties accessing our website, please try a different browser or contact us for assistance.
  • Security: We implement reasonable technical security measures to protect our website and your data. However, we cannot guarantee that our website is entirely free from security vulnerabilities, viruses, or other harmful code at all times. We recommend using up-to-date security software when browsing the internet, including our website.
  • Search results and filters: Product search results, filter outputs, and category displays on our website are generated automatically by our website platform. We cannot guarantee that these automated functions will always return complete, perfectly accurate, or optimally ordered results. If you cannot find a specific product using our search function, please contact us directly as we may have relevant stock not yet appearing in search results.
  • Third-party integrations: Our website relies on third-party services for certain functions — including payment processing, analytics, email services, and live chat. Disruption to these third-party services may temporarily affect associated website functions. WA White Goods is not responsible for disruptions caused by third-party service provider outages.
  • Data transmission: While our website uses SSL/TLS encryption to protect data transmitted between your browser and our website, we cannot guarantee that data transmission over the internet is entirely secure in all circumstances. You transmit data to our website at your own risk, and we recommend using secure, private internet connections rather than public Wi-Fi when making purchases or sharing personal information.

Reporting Website Issues: If you encounter a technical issue with our website — such as a broken link, a display error, a checkout problem, or any other functionality issue — please report it to us at [email protected] with a description of the issue and the device and browser you are using. Your feedback helps us maintain and improve our website for all customers.

Environmental & Sustainability Claims Disclaimer

WA White Goods is genuinely committed to environmental sustainability through its core business model of reconditioning and reselling second-hand appliances, thereby diverting them from landfill and extending their useful life. We make environmental and sustainability claims on our website and in our marketing materials in good faith and in compliance with the Australian Consumer Law's prohibition on misleading and deceptive representations.

Notices Regarding Environmental and Sustainability Claims

  • General environmental benefit claims: Statements on our website regarding the environmental benefits of purchasing reconditioned appliances — such as reducing landfill waste, lowering manufacturing demand, and supporting the circular economy — are based on the generally accepted and well-documented environmental case for the reuse and reconditioning of consumer goods. These are general statements of environmental principle, not specific quantified scientific claims about individual products.
  • Recycling claims: Where we state that appliances unsuitable for sale are responsibly recycled, this refers to our general practice of using licensed waste and e-waste recycling services in Western Australia for such items. We do not claim that 100% of all materials in every unsaleable appliance are recycled — some components may be disposed of as general waste in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Carbon footprint claims: WA White Goods does not make specific, quantified claims about the carbon footprint reduction achieved by any individual product purchase unless such claims are based on independently verified data. General statements about the environmental advantage of buying second-hand over buying new are based on widely cited research principles in the field of circular economy.
  • No eco-certification: WA White Goods does not hold formal eco-certification, green star certification, or any similar independent environmental certification unless explicitly stated. Our environmental commitment is reflected in our business practices rather than in formal certification.
  • ACL greenwashing prohibition: The Australian Consumer Law prohibits misleading environmental representations. We take this obligation seriously and commit to making only honest, substantiated, and proportionate sustainability claims. If you believe any environmental claim on our website is inaccurate or misleading, please contact us at [email protected] so we can review and correct it promptly.

Our Sustainability Commitment: Full details of our sustainability practices, reconditioning process, and environmental recycling approach are available on our Sustainability & Reconditioning Process page and our Environmental & Recycling Policy page. We invite all customers to read these pages to understand the genuine environmental commitment that underpins our business model.

Reviews, Testimonials & Social Media Content Disclaimer

WA White Goods may display customer reviews, testimonials, star ratings, and social media content on our website and in our marketing materials. The following important notices apply to this content.

Customer Reviews and Testimonials

  • Individual experiences: Customer reviews and testimonials reflect the individual experience and opinion of the reviewer at the time of their purchase. Individual experiences may vary depending on the specific product purchased, the delivery circumstances, the intended use of the appliance, and other factors. Reviews should not be taken as a guarantee that your own experience will be identical.
  • Review authenticity: WA White Goods does not fabricate, alter, or selectively publish customer reviews in a way that creates a misleading overall impression of customer satisfaction. We comply with the ACCC's guidance on online reviews and testimonials, including the prohibition on fake reviews under the Australian Consumer Law.
  • Google reviews: Reviews published on our Google Business Profile are submitted directly by customers through Google's platform and are not moderated or edited by WA White Goods. Google's own review policies govern the publication and removal of reviews on their platform. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of all reviews published by third parties on external platforms.
  • No incentivised reviews: WA White Goods does not offer financial incentives, discounts, or other benefits in exchange for positive reviews. We may ask customers to leave an honest review after their purchase, but we do not condition any benefit on the review being positive.

Social Media Content

  • Social media platforms: Content published on our Facebook, Instagram, and other social media accounts reflects our products, business activities, and values at the time of posting. Social media posts are not a substitute for our official product listings, policies, or terms. In the event of any inconsistency between social media content and our website, the official website content prevails.
  • User-generated content: Content posted by third parties on our social media pages — including comments, reviews, photographs, and opinions — represents the views of the individual poster, not of WA White Goods. We moderate our social media pages in accordance with our community guidelines and applicable Australian law but are not responsible for all content posted by third parties.
  • Social media promotions: Any promotions, competitions, or special offers announced on our social media channels are subject to specific terms and conditions published at the time of the promotion and are governed by the Lotteries Commission Act 1990 (WA) and all applicable Australian laws governing competitions and giveaways.

Misleading Review Complaints: If you believe any review, testimonial, or other content on our website or social media platforms is false, misleading, or in breach of the Australian Consumer Law, please contact us at [email protected]. You may also report concerns about misleading reviews to the ACCC at www.accc.gov.au.
