About Our Business & Showroom

Get to know who we are, where we operate, and how you can visit us in Welshpool to inspect our stock.

Who is WA White Goods? Are you an Australian business?+

Yes, we are a 100% Australian-owned and operated business. WA White Goods is the registered trading name of Budget Whitegoods Pty Ltd (ABN: 642 874 995). Our administrative offices, testing workshop, and stock showroom are entirely located in Welshpool, Western Australia.

We specialize in sourcing, professionally reconditioning, testing, and reselling quality second-hand household appliances (washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, freezers, and dishwashers) at budget-friendly prices.

Where is your showroom located? Can I view appliances before buying?+

Our physical facility and showroom is located at Unit 4/125-129 Welshpool Road, Welshpool WA 6106, Australia.

We welcome in-person inspections so you can check the cosmetic condition of our appliances before purchase. To ensure our technicians are available to assist you, in-person showroom viewings are conducted by appointment only. Please call us on +61 424 260 450 to book a time.

What are your operating hours?+

Our Welshpool warehouse and customer support lines are open Monday to Sunday, from 09:00 AM to 06:00 PM (AWST).

We are open seven days a week to handle delivery bookings, product enquiries, and warranty support. Any emails sent outside of these hours are monitored and addressed early the following morning.

Product Condition & Testing

Learn about our testing processes, our transparent A-to-D condition grading system, and how we handle stock representations.

What do your condition grades (Grade A, B, C, D) mean?+

Because we sell second-hand, reconditioned appliances, we use a transparent cosmetic grading system so you know exactly what to expect:

  • Grade A (Excellent / Like New): Near-new cosmetic appearance with no visible markings or only micro-scratches visible under direct, close light.
  • Grade B (Good / Minor Wear): Small surface scuffs, light scratches, or very small dents that are visible up close but present beautifully in a home environment.
  • Grade C (Fair / Visible Wear): Clear cosmetic marks, scratches, or dings noticeable from a distance. Fully functional but priced significantly lower.
  • Grade D (Budget / Heavy Wear): Heavy cosmetic wear, prominent dents, or severe scratching. Perfect for utility sheds or garages where aesthetics do not matter.

For more detailed info, view our complete Product Condition Policy.

Are all of your appliances fully functional?+

Yes, absolutely. Every single appliance we list as Grade A, B, C, or D is fully functional and has passed our stringent performance and safety tests. The condition grade refers strictly to cosmetic appearance — never to functionality.

The only exception is items explicitly marked as "Parts Only — Non-Functional," which are clearly isolated on our website for trade technicians looking for spare components.

How do you test and inspect appliances before they are listed?+

Every appliance undergoes a rigorous multi-point workshop inspection by our in-house technicians:

  1. Electrical Safety Test: Power cords, plugs, and grounding systems are tested to ensure they are 100% safe.
  2. Mechanical & Plumbing Review: Hoses, pumps, motors, heating elements, and compressors are checked and replaced if worn.
  3. Operational Test Run: Every washing machine, dryer, fridge, and dishwasher is run through complete cycles to verify performance under load.
  4. Deep Clean & Sanitize: The interior and exterior are deeply sanitized and cleaned before final packaging and listing.
Are the photos on your website of the actual item I will receive?+

Yes, 100%. We never use manufacturer stock images or generic templates. Every single photograph on our product listings shows the exact, individual appliance currently sitting in our Welshpool facility. We take high-resolution photos of all four sides, the interior, and close-ups of any cosmetic marks so there are no surprises on delivery.

Warranties & Repairs

Find out how our standard warranty works, what is covered, and how the Australian Consumer Law protects you.

Do your reconditioned appliances come with a warranty?+

Yes. All of our functional appliances (Grades A, B, and C) come with our standard 3-Month / 90-Day Warranty. Grade D appliances are covered by a 90-Day Functional Warranty. This warranty covers mechanical, plumbing, and electrical failures under normal household usage.

Please note that Parts-Only items are sold strictly without a warranty.

What happens if my appliance develops a fault during the warranty period?+

If your appliance experiences a mechanical or electrical failure within 90 days of delivery, please contact us immediately at [email protected] or call +61 424 260 450.

We will assess the issue. If it is a minor failure, we will arrange for a qualified technician to repair it at no cost to you, or replace it with an equivalent model. If it is a major failure as defined under the Australian Consumer Law, you can choose to receive a full refund or a replacement unit. We cover all associated transport costs.

How do my consumer rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) protect me?+

Your rights under the ACL apply automatically and cannot be excluded, limited, or overridden by any business policy. All of our appliances come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

How can I cancel my order? Is there a cancellation fee?+

To cancel an order, please contact us immediately on +61 424 260 450 or email [email protected].

If you cancel before your order is dispatched from our Welshpool warehouse, we will issue a 100% full refund (including all shipping fees) within 3 to 5 business days. We do not charge any cancellation or restocking fees. If the order has already been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled, and you must initiate a standard return once delivered.

What payment methods do you accept?+

We accept a wide range of secure payment methods at checkout:

  • Visa, Mastercard, and American Express debit or credit cards.
  • Direct Bank Transfer (EFT) — with a 48-hour stock hold period while funds clear.
  • Afterpay (Buy Now, Pay Later instalments).
  • Cash on Delivery (COD) — subject to terms and delivery scheduling.
What is your policy on pricing errors on the website?+

While we take every care to ensure accuracy, human or system errors may occasionally result in a product being listed at an incorrect price. If a pricing error is identified before your order is dispatched, we will contact you immediately.

We will explain the error, state the correct price, and give you the choice to either proceed at the correct price or cancel your order for a 100% full refund. We will never dispatch an item and demand extra payment after the fact.

Delivery & Appliance Removal

Find out where we deliver, how we transport appliances, and how we can help you dispose of your old white goods.

Where do you deliver? What are the delivery costs?+

We deliver major white goods to all suburbs across the Perth metropolitan area. Regional deliveries outside the Perth metro area can be arranged on a case-by-case basis through our specialized logistics partners.

Delivery fees are calculated based on your distance from our Welshpool facility and are clearly shown at checkout before you finalize your payment. No hidden delivery fees are added after purchase.

Can you remove my old, broken appliance when you deliver my new one?+

Yes, we can. We offer a responsible old appliance removal service for all deliveries. Our team can take away your old, non-functional washing machine, dryer, fridge, freezer, or dishwasher when we drop off your reconditioned unit.

The old appliance must be safely disconnected from water, gas, and power before our delivery team arrives. Please contact us at [email protected] at the time of ordering to book this service (nominal fees may apply depending on the item size).

What happens if my appliance is damaged in transit?+

If your appliance arrives with visible physical damage that occurred during transport, please report it to our team within 48 hours of delivery by emailing [email protected] with photographic evidence.

We will immediately arrange for a pre-paid courier to collect the damaged unit and issue you a 100% full refund or send an identical replacement at no extra charge. We take full responsibility for transit damage.

Section 06

Returns & Refunds

Everything you need to know about our change-of-mind policy, return postage, and refund processing times.

What is your return window? Are returns free?+

We offer a 90-day return window from the date of delivery. If you change your mind within this period, you can return the item for a full refund or exchange.

To keep things completely stress-free, return shipping is 100% free. If your return request is approved, we will provide you with a pre-paid, downloadable, and printable return shipping label. We do not charge any restocking fees.

What are the eligibility requirements for a change-of-mind return?+

For change-of-mind returns, the item must be returned in new, unused condition and in its original shipped condition. This means it must not have been connected to water, electricity, or gas mains, and must include all related parts, transit bolts, factory packaging, and instructions.

Please note that these strict packaging rules do not apply if your appliance develops a mechanical fault. Under the ACL, you do not need original packaging to claim a remedy for a faulty product.

How long does it take to process a refund?+

Once we receive and inspect the returned item at our Welshpool warehouse, we will issue your refund within 3 to 5 business days.

The funds will be returned strictly to the original payment method used during checkout (credit/debit cards, bank transfer, or Afterpay). We will send you a Refund Confirmation Email with your GST credit note as soon as the refund is triggered.

How do I initiate a return or exchange?+

To initiate a return or exchange, please email our team at [email protected]. Provide your order number, your full name, and the reason for the return.

Once approved, we will email you a printable pre-paid return shipping label. Simply pack your item securely, attach the label, and drop it off at an Australia Post branch, or coordinate with our courier team for a scheduled pickup if it is a major appliance.

Environmental & Recycling

Read about our commitment to Western Australia's circular economy and responsible hazardous waste handling.

How does WA White Goods help the environment?+

By reconditioning and reselling quality appliances, we actively divert major white goods from Western Australian landfills. This circular economy business model reduces the demand for raw material extraction and avoids the carbon footprint associated with manufacturing and shipping new appliances.

For more details on our environmental goals, view our Environmental & Recycling Policy.

How do you manage hazardous waste like refrigerants?+

All refrigerators and freezers that reach our facility for recycling are handled with extreme environmental care. Refrigerants and compressor oils are recovered strictly by ARCtick-licensed technicians in full compliance with the Ozone Protection and Synthetic Greenhouse Gas Management Act 1989 (Cth).

We enforce a strict zero-venting policy, ensuring no ozone-depleting substances or greenhouse gases are released into the Western Australian atmosphere during processing.
